Some Hong Kong-based crew members of Virgin Atlantic will stage a wildcat strike in the departure hall on Monday evening. They are unhappy that the airline has laid off about 50 senior crew members and accuse it of failing to compensate them properly. The secretary-general of the Hong Kong Cabin Crew Federation, Carol Ng, says the management has refused to hold talks with her group over the issue. "If they don’t want to talk, they have to see the consequence," she said.
